I disagree with those who say to write quickly and gloss over for quick copy-editing. For blogging, that’s one kind of writing. But to create art, to create the kind of reverberating thought and turn of phrase that can resonate with a person, or an age, or an entire epoch of history takes such exacting attention to detail that it bears understanding that each change you make in your essay requires you to reevaluate the whole.
