Oh guilty! I tone down my choice of words sometimes because I am worried that the reader will be turned off by the emotional weight or roughness that comes with them. Also, each platform demands a different writing style (so I believe.) For example, I would think twice about calling my ex-manager a jerk on LinkedIn, but I would call him a bully or "pad" it as a "toxic work environment."
