I had been through the similar situation when i put on the system that i did not agree with the assessment. In my case, it was not the clickiness but despite a good result, he did not think that i was in a spider-web”. Could not provide any single piece of evidence to support the spider-web-ness whatever it was for him.

HR did nothing. The system proceeded without my approval. The only good thing was that i did not have regret speaking up for myself and called bullshit. However, i did not feel better. I lose faith in the appraisal process. A good thing came from this is my realisation that it is not always about how well or how bad you perform, and some managers are not well equipped to manage talents.
