Good and fun read. I must say I can resonate with most of the points except 4. From my experience, work is what you make it to be. With big companies you get to learn and collaborate with people from different disciplines and many talented people (and also the opposite-end :D).

I am surprised you did not mention politics.

You are right on about working for big names. There is a perk of working for a big brand. Say when you are interviewing for a new job, you do not have to explain what your company does. It is also a conversation starter.
